Mission
Our mission is to plant trees, maintain existing trees and educate east Boston residents on the benefits of trees.
History
Eastie has long been home to inspired neighbors who saw the value of trees and we have compiled a timeline of past tree initiatives. TREE Eastie was founded in November 2019.
Partners
TREE Eastie is made possible by the collaboration of many partners.

Eastie Farm is dedicated to pursuing climate justice, improving food access, and fostering community resilience through the development of interactive urban agricultural spaces and environmental education programs in which residents of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to learn and take part in the production of healthy, locally-grown, and culturally relevant foods.

SFTT Bos aims to improve the size and health of the urban forest in the greater Boston area, with a focus on under-served and under-canopied neighborhoods.
Boston Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks Department handles public shade trees. We prune trees and take care of disease control, removals, and repairs. We work on trees throughout Boston’s 22 neighborhoods in the fall and spring. We plant new trees based on resident requests. You can do your part by mulching and watering your street tree, and reporting any issues to the Park Line at 617-635-7275.
East Boston Tree Team
The East Boston Tree Team is made up of representatives from nearly every neighborhood association, as well as businesses, developers and other tree ambassadors.
